As we wrap up the final week of Women’s Month, we’re excited to shine a light on Sarah Divaris, Boxwood’s dynamic COO. At just 30, Sarah has redefined the role of a Chief Operating Officer, bringing fresh, innovative ideas to every facet of Boxwood’s growth. Her journey from managing multiple roles in Boxwood’s early stages demonstrates her remarkable blend of expertise, creativity, and unwavering commitment.

Sarah’s story is one of unexpected twists and relentless determination. Starting as an ambitious Business Science Finance and Accounting student, she quickly realized that debits and credits weren’t for her and ended up settling on a degree in Finance and Economics.

It wasn’t long before she found herself in the property industry – almost by accident.

What began as a job opportunity as an au pair while she completed her studies, turned into a career that saw Sarah grow from handling every role imaginable – from office manager and accountant to legal advisor, marketer, and asset manager – to becoming the youngest COO in the sector. Along the way, she’s tackled challenges head-on, proving that with passion, resilience, and confidence, anything is possible.

Today, Boxwood has grown from a team of two to a thriving company with a R4.5bn property portfolio, and Sarah’s leadership has been a key driver of that success. Her story is a powerful reminder that opportunities often come in unexpected forms, and with the right mix of skills, dedication, and a strong support network, there are no limits to what can be achieved.

As we celebrate the incredible achievements of women like Sarah, we’re inspired by the passion, creativity, and perseverance that continue to pave the way for future generations. Here’s to all the women making their mark in business and beyond!
